From the lattice look of open space and geometric simplicity to the handsome design elegance of the panel to the knockouts that frame the sleigh with open solidity, each headboard delivers unparalleled style and warmth.
A standard panel base design with patented reversible rails is juxtaposed against the arresting design of the arched base, each offering two equally handsome looks but completely different styles to choose from.
Each drawer is constructed using English and French dovetailing for strength and stability, top drawers are lined with felt to safeguard delicate items such as jewelry and brushed chrome metal drawer pulls in a round or bar shape offer a hint of modern accenting.

Q&A answers generated with AI assistance.
Does this king bed require a box spring or foundation?
Yes, this bed is designed to be used with both a mattress and a foundation (box spring). Using a proper foundation ensures the mattress is supported at the correct height and prevents sagging over time, which is essential for maintaining the long-term comfort and structural integrity of your sleep system.
Can this bed accommodate an adjustable power base?
Most standard adjustable bases are compatible with this frame; however, the interior support slats would typically need to be removed to allow the base to sit flat on the floor within the rails. We recommend measuring your specific adjustable base to ensure it fits within the 82.5-inch width of this king-size frame for a seamless setup.
How do the dimensions of this sleigh bed impact my bedroom layout?
Because of its elegant sleigh profile, this king bed has a total depth of 88.5 inches and a width of 82.5 inches. To maintain a comfortable and breathable layout, we recommend placing this bed in a room that is at least 12' x 14'. This allows for approximately 3 feet of "walk-around" space on either side, ensuring the room feels balanced rather than cramped.
What materials are used to ensure the durability of this bed frame?
This bed is expertly crafted using birch veneers, a material highly regarded in premium furniture for its smooth, consistent grain and exceptional stability. Unlike solid wood, which can sometimes warp in humid coastal climates, birch veneers are resistant to cracking and peeling, ensuring the sleek black finish remains pristine and the frame remains sturdy for years to come.
How does the "sleigh" design fit into a modern bedroom aesthetic?
While the sleigh silhouette is a timeless classic, the Belcourt model features a low-profile footboard with contemporary picture frame molding and monochromatic black upholstery. This blend of styles makes it an ideal anchor piece that bridges the gap between traditional elegance and modern minimalism, making it suitable for a wide range of home decors, from suburban estates to urban lofts.
Is the black upholstered headboard easy to clean and maintain?
The black upholstery is designed for both style and practicality. Based on our furniture care expertise, we recommend regular light vacuuming with a soft brush attachment to prevent dust and allergens from settling into the stitching detail. For minor spills, a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water can be used for spot cleaning, helping the bold black fabric retain its deep, sophisticated hue.
