I haven't tried out the sleeper part of the sofa yet, but the sofa and loveseat are very comfortable. My cats have been stretching out across them both and not saving room for me, so I would say that they are definitely cat approved!! I love the firmness of the cushions - they feel good on my back. I hope that feature lasts a very long time.
