Calvary Accent Chair

Yes, this chair is upholstered in 100% polyester velvet, which is a highly durable and family-friendly material. Unlike silk-based velvets, polyester velvet is known for its resilience and stain resistance. The tight weave of the fabric makes it less likely to snag on pet claws, and the red color-way is effective at masking minor wear. For regular maintenance in a busy home, our care experts suggest using a lint roller or a vacuum with a soft brush attachment to easily remove pet hair and dust.

While this chair can be paired for symmetry, its bold red velvet and flowing wave-like silhouette are designed to function as a primary statement piece. In contemporary design, a vibrant "pop" of color helps define a room's focal point. This chair works beautifully as a contrast to neutral-toned sofas in grey, cream, or charcoal, adding a sophisticated rhythmic pulse to your living space.

This chair is exceptionally well-suited for smaller footprints and urban lofts. With a width of 36 inches and a low-profile height of 29.25 inches, it provides a generous seating area without visually overwhelming a room. The minimalist black metal base creates an "open" look, allowing light to pass underneath the seat, which helps maintain a sense of airiness in compact living areas.

For 100% polyester velvet, we recommend regular light maintenance to keep the fabric's "nap" or pile looking plush. If a spill occurs, it is best to blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, the use of water-based cleaning agents is generally recommended, but we always advise testing a small, inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the soft texture of the velvet.

Absolutely. The chair is designed with a 17.75-inch seat height and a deep, 33.5-inch profile that encourages a relaxed, "dialed down" seating position. The flowing wave shape of the seat and the attached cushion are engineered to cradle the body, making it an ideal choice for long periods of reading or conversation.

The minimalist metal base offers high structural integrity and a clean, contemporary aesthetic. By using metal struts to support the frame, the design achieves a "cradled" effect where the arms fold over the supports. This construction method ensures stability while the top-stitched seams on the 100% polyester upholstery provide reinforced durability at the stress points, ensuring the chair maintains its shape over time.
