Q&A answers generated with AI assistance.
Can the included ottomans be used as permanent extra seating?
While these ottomans are designed to nest, they are built as fully functional individual pieces with straight metal legs and supportive, ivory-upholstered seats. They are perfectly suited as versatile seating for guests or as a convenient place to kick up your feet. Their height is specifically scaled to the 18-inch profile of the table, ensuring a cohesive and ergonomic fit for your living room layout.
Is an oval-shaped table a better choice for a family with toddlers than a rectangular one?
For families with active children, an oval table is often a safer alternative to traditional rectangular designs. The rounded edges of this contemporary piece eliminate sharp corners, significantly reducing the risk of bumps and bruises in high-traffic areas. Additionally, the straight metal legs and low 18-inch height provide a stable, grounded center of gravity.
How do I maintain the beige-gray finish and the ivory upholstered seats?
Based on our furniture care expertise, we recommend dusting the oak veneer surface regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent debris buildup. For the 100% polyester ottoman seats, spill resistance is naturally high; however, for stains, our care guide suggests spot cleaning using a rag with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals to preserve the weathered nickel finish and the delicate "soothing tones" of the beige-gray wood.
Is this cocktail table with nested ottomans suitable for an apartment or a smaller living area?
Yes, this oval table is exceptionally efficient for smaller or multi-use spaces. While the tabletop offers a generous 52-inch surface, the two round ottomans nest completely underneath the metal frame when not in use. This nesting design keeps walkways clear—a vital feature for urban apartment living—while providing instant extra seating for guests or a comfortable footrest at a moment's notice.
What are the benefits of using oak veneers and a metal frame for this table?
This table utilizes premium oak veneers over the oval top, providing the rich, natural grain of oak with increased resistance to the warping or splitting that can occur with solid wood in humid or varying climates. The frame is constructed from metal with a weathered antique nickel finish, ensuring long-term structural integrity and a high weight capacity. This combination of materials offers a "quiet balance of form and function," making it a durable centerpiece for everyday living.
What decor styles work best with this neutral-toned table?
The soothing beige-gray tones and weathered antique nickel base make this table a versatile fit for contemporary, transitional, and even coastal-inspired spaces. Because the finish is a sophisticated neutral, it pairs seamlessly with other earth tones, cool grays, or even bold pops of color like navy or forest green. To style the tabletop, we suggest using a simple tray to anchor small decor items, keeping the sleek oval surface uncluttered and functional.

I noticed on the edge of the table there was a noticeable nick .Craftmanship is not so great . I have made plenty of purchases from Rooms to Go and this particular piece is not one of the best. Also , I had to make a service call because the leg on one of the ottomans came off ! This happened the first time after my small grandchild sat on it .
Welding issues
The first time I recieved the table and ottoman the welding was so bad on the ottoman they couldnt get the legs on and the table wood cracked where the legs connected I because they had to force the leg on again because of bad welding. They automatically schedueled for a replavement but that took another 10 days to recieve. The second time, the legs went on the new ottoman and looked fine but after the next day I foud that one of legs isnt welded on the attachement and comes off. Second table looks fine so far. It looks really nice but Im afraid of what other deformaties Ill find. They need to improve the welding process and in the mean time there should be a welding check on all table and ottoman parts before they are shipped.
