Cosgrove Chambray 7'10 x 10' Indoor/Outdoor Rug

For a professional, anchored look, we recommend choosing a rug that extends 12 to 24 inches beyond the edges of your furniture. This 7'10" x 10' rug is an excellent size for grounding a large outdoor dining set or a full seating arrangement. Ensuring that at least the front legs of your furniture rest on the rug helps define the space and prevents the rug from shifting in high-traffic zones.

Yes, this rug is versatile enough for both indoor and outdoor use. Its low .25-inch profile makes it a practical choice for mudrooms, kitchens, or entryways where door clearance is essential. While designed for rugged durability, the contemporary weave provides a comfortable surface underfoot that is far softer than traditional plastic mats, making it an excellent addition to transitional indoor spaces like sunrooms.

The 100% polypropylene construction and breathable weave allow for rapid drying, which is crucial for preventing mold and mildew in humid or rainy climates like Florida. To protect wood or composite decking from trapped moisture, we recommend using an outdoor-rated rug pad. This improves airflow beneath the rug, helping to protect your deck from discoloration while keeping the rug securely in place.

Based on our expert care guidelines, you should vacuum or shake out the rug regularly to remove everyday dust and debris. For a quick seasonal refresh, simply rinse the rug with a garden hose and allow it to dry completely in the sun. For deeper stains, you can spot-clean using a mild detergent and a soft-bristle brush, ensuring the rug is thoroughly rinsed and air-dried to prevent mildew.

This rug is built with UV-stabilized polypropylene, which is engineered to maintain its color vibrancy even under consistent sun exposure. In hot, sunny regions like Texas or Arizona, this synthetic material also tends to absorb less heat than darker natural fibers, helping to keep your patio surface more comfortable for bare feet during the summer months.

This rug is crafted from 100% polypropylene, a high-performance synthetic fiber chosen for its exceptional durability and resistance to heavy foot traffic. Because polypropylene is naturally moisture-resistant and does not absorb liquids, it is an ideal choice for busy households with pets and children, as well as outdoor living spaces that are frequently exposed to the elements.
