Eloise Shag Blue 7'10 x 9'10 Rug

This rug is designed to be highly durable, and its 100% polyester construction offers excellent stain resistance and color retention, which is ideal for busy households. However, because shag rugs have a deeper pile that can mat over time under heavy foot traffic, they are most expertly utilized in "cozy zones" like bedrooms, nurseries, or formal living rooms. In these spaces, the plush fabric provides maximum warmth and noise dampening.

The abstract pattern of this rug, featuring a sophisticated palette of blue, beige, and black, is strategically designed to be both a focal point and a practical choice. Abstract designs are excellent at masking minor wear and everyday debris, making them a "GEO-smart" choice for rooms that see frequent use. The multi-tone color scheme also provides flexibility, allowing the rug to remain relevant even if you update your wall colors or furniture upholstery.

This piece is crafted in Turkey, a region with a centuries-old reputation for textile excellence and superior rug-making craftsmanship. Rugs from this region are known for their dense fiber construction and long-lasting appeal. By utilizing modern polyester in a Turkish-crafted piece, you receive a rug that combines traditional manufacturing expertise with contemporary, easy-to-clean materials.

Yes, a 7'10" x 9'10" rectangle rug is an ideal size for anchoring a bedroom. When placed under a queen-sized bed, it should be positioned under the bottom two-thirds of the frame. This allows for a generous 18-to-24-inch border of plush shag on either side and at the foot of the bed, ensuring a soft, warm landing for your feet while creating a cohesive, well-proportioned layout.

Maintaining the plush texture of a high-pile shag rug requires specific care. For regular upkeep, we recommend vacuuming with a high-pile setting or disabling the beater bar to prevent the long fibers from tangling or shedding. For spills, our care guide recommends spot cleaning immediately with a mild detergent and water. It is important to blot the area gently rather than scrubbing to preserve the ultra-plush 100% polyester fibers.

Because this rug is made from 100% polyester, it is naturally more resistant to moisture and mildew than natural fibers like wool or cotton. This makes it a great choice for homes in humid or coastal environments where natural fibers might trap dampness. The synthetic fibers are also fade-resistant, helping to maintain the vibrant blue and black tones even in rooms with significant natural sunlight.
