Q&A answers generated with AI assistance.
Can this buffet server be used in an urban apartment or entryway?
Absolutely. While designed as a dining server, its 18-inch depth makes it an excellent choice for urban apartment living where multi-functional furniture is essential. Its height (36 inches) and contemporary tapered legs allow it to function perfectly as a sophisticated entryway console or a media sideboard in a living area. The urban rustic aesthetic—blending traditional plank-style doors with modern angled legs—ensures it fits a wide variety of decor styles.
How do I know if this sideboard is the right size for my dining room?
At 54 inches wide, this sideboard is an ideal mid-size piece that best complements dining tables ranging from 60 to 72 inches in length. A key consideration for dining room layout is the "walkway rule"—our experts recommend maintaining at least 36 inches of clearance between the edge of the furniture and your walls. With its slim 18-inch depth, this server is specifically designed to provide ample storage without obstructing traffic in standard or narrow dining spaces.
Does this sideboard require assembly upon delivery?
No, this sideboard does not require customer assembly. It is delivered fully constructed, ensuring the structural integrity and stability of the tapered legs and plank-style frame. This professional construction ensures that all doors and drawers are perfectly aligned and ready for immediate use in your home.
What specific storage features does this sideboard offer for hosting?
This server is engineered for organizational efficiency. It features two drawers specifically designed for flatware, napkins, and smaller serving essentials. Below, two doors open to reveal two shelves, providing dedicated space for oversized serving platters, fine china, or seasonal glassware. The 54-inch plank-style top is also at a standard counter height of 36 inches, making it a perfect surface for staging appetizers or drinks during large family gatherings.
What are the benefits of the oak veneers used in this furniture?
This piece is constructed using high-quality oak veneers, a material choice that balances authentic wood beauty with structural integrity. Unlike solid wood, which can be prone to warping or "checking" in high-humidity or coastal climates, these veneers offer enhanced stability against temperature and moisture changes. The rubbed black finish is meticulously applied over the oak grain to highlight its natural texture while providing a durable surface for daily use.
How should I clean and maintain the rubbed black finish?
To preserve the unique rubbed black finish, our care guidelines recommend regular dusting with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. If a deeper clean is needed, use a cloth slightly dampened with water and a drop of mild soap, followed immediately by a dry cloth to prevent moisture from sitting on the veneer. Based on our material expertise, we advise avoiding silicone-based polishes or harsh chemicals, which can leave a residue and dull the finish over time.

Perfect set
I purchased the matching table a year ago. Just purchased this item and I love it. It not too big or small. I have a medium size dining room area. Top if you are only ordering the buffet then there is no need for rooms to go to put it together. Save your money and just have them to leave at door. The only part I put together were the legs.
