How much storage does the integrated chest provide?
The built-in storage is designed for high-capacity organization. It features a chest with five deep, beveled drawers for clothing, complemented by adjustable shelves fronted by a door for books, toys, or display items. This multi-functional design allows you to streamline your child's room by combining sleep, storage, and organization into one durable unit.
What is the recommended age for a child to use the top bed of this loft?
For safety, it is recommended that children be at least six years old before using the elevated top bed of a loft or bunk system. This guideline, supported by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), ensures that the child has the coordination and maturity to safely navigate the ladder and the elevated sleeping surface.
Is this loft bed a good choice for a small bedroom or urban apartment?
This loft is an exceptional space-saving solution for compact living environments. By integrating a five-drawer chest and adjustable shelving directly into the frame, it eliminates the need for a separate dresser and bookcase. The "Twin over Full" configuration provides a larger sleeping area on the bottom without increasing the overall footprint of the room, making it ideal for maximizing floor space in smaller urban bedrooms.
Does this bed require a box spring?
No, a box spring is not required and should not be used with this loft. Instead, a bunkie board is required to provide a slim, sturdy foundation for the mattresses. This ensures the mattress sits at the correct height to maintain the safety and effectiveness of the top guardrails.
Can the bottom bed be moved or repositioned?
Yes, the bottom bed is designed for maximum flexibility. It is equipped with casters, allowing it to be easily rolled out from under the loft for cleaning, rearranged within the room, or tucked away to create a larger play area during the day. This mobility is a hallmark of the Ivy League 2.0's versatile design.
What is the minimum ceiling height needed for this loft bed?
This bed stands at a height of 70 inches. To ensure your child can sit up comfortably on the top bed without the risk of hitting their head, we recommend a minimum ceiling height of 8 feet (96 inches). This provides approximately 26 inches of clearance, though 9-foot ceilings are ideal for even greater comfort and ventilation.

The installers damaged my floor and there was a big slice across the rail. I am still waiting on someone to resolve my issues and its going on a month now.
