This has a 400-pound resting weight capacity per sleeping surface. Strong plywood slats with metal support bar. The staircase can be installed on either the left or right with in built-in staircase shelves. Removable curtains turn under bed area into a play-space. Curtain includes one front panel and one side panel. Easily attaches with hook and loop fastener strip. Hand-sewn, 100% cotton. Top bed features tall 14" guardrails, Designed to accommodate standard twin-size mattress; we recommend a 5" thick mattress not to exceed 8".
