Is this loft bed suitable for a small bedroom or a city apartment?
This piece is specifically engineered for high-density living and space optimization. By integrating a built-in desk, corkboard, and three wooden shelves directly into the frame, it eliminates the need for separate furniture pieces. This all-in-one "study and sleep" configuration maximizes vertical space, leaving more floor area available for play or additional storage in compact urban environments.
How durable is the finish on a metal loft bed like this one?
The metal frame features a melamine finish, which is highly regarded for its exceptional resistance to scratches, moisture, and daily wear. Based on our expertise in kids' furniture, this material is ideal for active environments as it provides a non-porous surface that is easy to clean with a damp cloth, ensuring the dark gray finish maintains its sleek contemporary look over years of use.
What is the recommended age for a child to use a loft bed?
Following the safety guidelines established by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), this loft bed is recommended for children aged 6 and older. This ensures the child has the necessary coordination and maturity to safely navigate the ladder and use an elevated sleeping surface.
How much ceiling height is required to safely accommodate this loft bed?
This loft bed has a total height of 70.75 inches. To ensure your child can sit up comfortably without the risk of head injury, we recommend a minimum of 30 to 36 inches of clearance between the top of the mattress and the ceiling. For standard 8-foot ceilings (96 inches), this model provides approximately 25 inches of clearance before adding a mattress; therefore, it is best suited for rooms with 9-foot ceilings or for use with a low-profile mattress.
What type of mattress is best for the top bunk of a loft bed?
To maintain the effectiveness of the safety guardrails, you should use a low-profile twin mattress. Safety standards require that the top of the guardrail sits at least 5 inches above the mattress surface. We recommend a mattress thickness of 5 to 7 inches to maximize the protective height of the side rails while providing optimal support.

Missing pieces
The incompetent customer service team NEVER got back to me regarding the missing pieces needed to put together the furniture. They charged me for assembly, but never came back out to put the bed together. I had to pay a handy man to do it for me. Their customer service is subpar.
