Q&A answers generated with AI assistance.
What is the minimum recommended age for a child to use the top bunk of this loft bed?
Following the safety guidelines established by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the top bunk is recommended for children six years of age and older. This ensures the child has the coordination and physical maturity to safely navigate the steps and manage the height of the elevated bed.
How much total storage does this loft system offer for a small bedroom?
Designed specifically as a space-saving solution, this system includes a substantial amount of integrated storage. It features a six-drawer loft chest and a staircase with four built-in drawers, totaling 10 drawers of storage space. Additionally, a built-in bookcase is affixed to the underside of the frame, providing dedicated shelving for books and magazines without increasing the unit's footprint.
Can the lower full-size bed be moved or placed elsewhere in the room?
Yes, the lower full-size bed is designed with high-quality caster legs, allowing it to be easily rolled out from beneath the loft. This provides excellent flexibility for room cleaning, making the bed, or even completely rearranging the layout of the bedroom as your child's needs change.
Does this bed require a standard box spring or a bunkie board?
This loft system is designed to be used with a bunkie board (sold separately) rather than a traditional box spring. Using a bunkie board provides the necessary flat, firm support for the mattress while keeping the overall profile low enough to ensure the safety guardrails on the top bunk remain effective.
What materials are used in the construction of this bed frame?
This bed is expertly crafted from solid wood components and high-quality pine veneers, finished in a modern charcoal gray. Using pine ensures a balance of structural durability and weight, while the veneers provide a smooth, consistent finish that is resistant to the daily wear and tear typical in a child’s bedroom.
How high do my ceilings need to be to accommodate this bed safely?
This loft bed stands approximately 69.63 inches (roughly 5 feet 10 inches) tall. For optimal safety and comfort, we recommend at least 30 to 36 inches of clearance between the top of the mattress and the ceiling. This means the bed is best suited for rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings or higher, especially in homes with slanted or attic-style ceilings.

Looks nice and is well built
Seems solid and well built and looks nice. No surprises in that it looks like the pictures online. I elected to have delivery with assembly. Well worth the extra charge. It did not take them long, but it seems a 2 person job. We had limited space to fit this in and time will tell whether access to the upper bunk is easy.
The kids love it
New Bunk Bed
My son loves his new bunk bed. Previously he had a toddler bed and there was a struggle to get him to consistently sleep in his room. When we purchased the bunk bed he was truly ecstatic and now he sleeps in his new bed faithfully! I'm so glad that we decided on rooms to go for their quality of furniture.
We bought two of these and we love them! They are sturdy and free up space in the room
