The frame is crafted using solid pine and pine veneers, a material choice favored for its natural strength and long-term durability in high-use children's furniture. Unlike metal frames that can develop squeaks or wobbles over time, this solid wood construction provides a sturdy, stable foundation. The charcoal finish is applied over these veneers to offer a modern, resilient surface that stands up well to the daily wear and tear of an active child’s room.

To maintain the maximum effective height of the safety guardrails, this loft bed requires the use of a bunkie board (sold separately) rather than a traditional box spring.
