To ensure your child can sit up comfortably without bumping their head, we recommend a minimum of 24 to 30 inches of clearance between the top of the mattress and the ceiling. With these dimensions, the bed is a great fit for rooms with standard 8-foot or 9-foot ceilings.

For safety reasons, the top bunk is recommended for children aged 6 and older. This guideline, aligned with federal safety standards, ensures that children have the coordination and maturity to safely navigate the ladder and the elevated sleeping surface. This model features built-in ladders on both sides and sturdy guardrails to provide secure, easy access for your child.

To ensure the safety guardrails function correctly, the top of the mattress must be at least 5 inches below the top edge of the rail. We recommend using a low-profile mattress specifically designed for bunk beds to maintain this safety margin and prevent accidental falls.
