What is the benefit of the construction used in the included chest?
The storage chest in this collection is built for daily use and longevity. It features three drawers crafted with front French dovetail joints—a hallmark of high-quality furniture construction known for its strength and resistance to being pulled apart. The drawers also utilize side-mounted, ball-bearing glides, ensuring they open and close smoothly and quietly even when fully loaded with clothing or supplies.
Can this loft bed work in a room with lower-than-average ceilings?
Yes, this model is an excellent solution for homes with standard 8-foot ceilings or even lower attic-style clearances. Standing at 50.88 inches high, it provides significantly more headroom between the mattress and the ceiling than a high loft would. This ensures your child can sit up comfortably in bed without risk, making it a favorite for urban apartments or older homes with unique architectural constraints.
How does this set help maximize space in a small bedroom?
This furniture is designed for maximum efficiency in limited square footage. It features a reversible staircase equipped with built-in storage drawers, effectively turning a necessary access point into an organized chest. Additionally, the coordinating study desk is mounted on casters, allowing it to be tucked neatly under the bed frame or wheeled out to any part of the room for study time, providing a flexible layout that evolves with your child's needs.
Is this low loft bed safe for younger children?
Safety is a primary consideration for elevated beds. While the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) generally recommends loft beds for children aged 6 and older, this "low loft" model is specifically engineered to sit lower to the ground than a traditional high loft. At just under 51 inches high, it offers a more accessible height for younger children while providing the security of full-length guardrails. The included staircase is also a safer alternative to a traditional ladder, offering a wider, more stable surface for nighttime navigation.
Can I customize the layout of the bed to fit my child's room?
Absolutely. This loft bed is designed with a reversible staircase that can be affixed to either the right or left side of the frame. This flexibility allows you to adapt the configuration to your room's specific layout, ensuring that the stairs and integrated storage remain accessible regardless of where the bed is placed against a wall or window.
What type of mattress and foundation is required for this loft bed?
To ensure the safety guardrails are at their most effective height, a standard twin mattress is required (sold separately). Per our manufacturing specifications and safety guidelines, this bed also requires a bunkie board rather than a traditional box spring. A bunkie board provides a slim, sturdy foundation that supports the mattress without adding unnecessary height, keeping the sleeping surface safely below the top of the guardrails.

Nice bed, two weeks in the panels the bed sits on broke
Bed is nice, pretty but the panels holding the mattress broke, they werent of the same quality as the other things
Love it!
This bed is perfect for my 7 year old! We got the full size and it's so cute and has a little "secret room" underneath she goes and reads books. It's seriously the cutest set up and it's more her age than regular beds.
