Can the storage stairs be installed on either side of the bed?
To accommodate the specific layout of your child’s room, the staircase is fully reversible and can be affixed to either the left or right side of the bed. This flexibility is perfect for optimizing floor space in smaller urban apartments or uniquely shaped bedrooms, allowing you to position the bed against any wall while maintaining easy access to the storage drawers built directly into the steps.
What is the benefit of the French dovetail construction in the storage drawers?
The coordinating loft chest features drawers crafted with front French dovetail joints and ball-bearing, side-mounted glides. French dovetails are a hallmark of high-quality furniture construction, where the drawer front is joined to the sides with a locking wedge. This design is exceptionally strong and resistant to being pulled apart, ensuring the drawers remain durable and functional even with heavy daily use in a child’s bedroom.
What is the recommended age for a child to use this loft bed?
Following safety guidelines established by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the top bunk of any loft or bunk bed is recommended for children 6 years of age and older. This low loft design is particularly advantageous for younger children or those transitioning to an elevated bed, as the sleeping surface sits closer to the floor than a traditional high loft, providing an extra layer of comfort and security for parents and kids alike.
How functional is the desk for study time?
The coordinating desk is designed for maximum versatility; it features smooth-rolling casters so it can be wheeled out for a dedicated study session and tucked away under the loft to clear floor space for playtime. It also includes two integrated cubbies specifically sized for textbooks, magazines, or homework supplies, helping your child stay organized in a compact footprint.
How does the "low loft" design benefit rooms with standard or low ceilings?
With a total height of approximately 51 inches, this loft bed is an ideal space-saving solution for homes with standard 8-foot ceilings or even lower-clearance spaces common in finished basements or older homes. This height ensures that your child has ample headroom to sit up comfortably in bed while still providing enough clearance underneath for the integrated bookcase, chest, and mobile desk.
What are the best practices for maintaining the pink finish on this bedroom set?
To preserve the vibrant finish and sleek craftsmanship of your furniture, we recommend dusting the surfaces regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For minor spills or stains, our care guide suggests using a cloth dampened with mild soap and water, immediately followed by a dry cloth to prevent moisture from sitting on the finish. Avoid the use of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can dull or damage the protective topcoat over time.
Does this bed require a special foundation or bunkie board?
Yes, for proper support and safety, this bed requires a full-size bunkie board (sold separately). Using a bunkie board instead of a traditional box spring is essential for loft beds; it provides a slim, sturdy foundation that ensures the mattress sits at the correct height relative to the guardrails, maintaining the safety of the protective barriers.

Nice bed, two weeks in the panels the bed sits on broke
Bed is nice, pretty but the panels holding the mattress broke, they werent of the same quality as the other things
Love it!
This bed is perfect for my 7 year old! We got the full size and it's so cute and has a little "secret room" underneath she goes and reads books. It's seriously the cutest set up and it's more her age than regular beds.
