What is the recommended ceiling height for this full-size loft bed?
This model is designed as a "low loft," standing at a height of approximately 50.88 inches. Because it sits lower to the ground than traditional high lofts, it is an excellent choice for rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings, which are common in many suburban homes and urban apartments. Our design experts recommend a low loft like this to ensure there is ample "headroom" between the mattress and the ceiling, preventing a cramped feeling for your child.
How can I customize the look of the bed to match my child's room decor?
We understand that hardware details can significantly impact the room's aesthetic. This bed comes standard with brushed nickel hardware for a sleek, modern look. However, we also include a set of brushed gold knobs and pulls with your purchase, allowing you to easily swap the hardware to match other gold or warm-toned accents in the bedroom.
Can this loft bed be configured to fit different room layouts?
Yes, versatility is a key feature of this design. The staircase is reversible and can be securely affixed to either the left or right side of the bed, allowing you to optimize the footprint based on your room's windows, doors, and closet placement. With a total width of 102.69 inches, it provides a comprehensive sleep and storage solution that effectively utilizes vertical space in smaller bedrooms.
What are the quality specifications of the included storage chest?
The coordinating loft chest is built for daily use and long-term durability. The three drawers are crafted using front French dovetail joints, a hallmark of quality cabinetry that ensures the drawer front remains securely attached even with frequent use. Additionally, the drawers utilize side-mounted, ball-bearing glides, which provide a smooth, quiet operation that prevents sticking or jarring.
Does this loft bed require a box spring or a bunkie board?
To ensure proper support and maintain the safety profile of the guardrails, this bed requires a bunkie board (sold separately) rather than a traditional box spring. Using a bunkie board provides a slim, sturdy foundation that keeps the mattress at the correct height relative to the safety rails. Please note that both the mattress and foundation are sold separately, and a standard full-size mattress is required.
Are the stairs safer than a ladder for younger children?
For parents concerned about nighttime safety, a step loft is often the preferred choice over a ladder. The reversible staircase on this bed provides a wider, more stable surface for climbing. Furthermore, these steps are multi-functional, featuring built-in storage drawers that are perfect for organizing clothing or books, helping to keep the floor clear of tripping hazards.
Is a full-size loft bed a good long-term investment as my child grows?
Choosing a full-size loft over a twin provides a larger sleep surface that accommodates growing children through their teenage years. By elevating the full mattress, you gain significant floor space underneath for the included 37-inch bookcase and three-drawer chest. This all-in-one configuration is particularly effective for maximizing utility in compact living environments without sacrificing the comfort of a larger bed.

Bed is nice, pretty but the panels holding the mattress broke, they werent of the same quality as the other things
Love it!
This bed is perfect for my 7 year old! We got the full size and it's so cute and has a little "secret room" underneath she goes and reads books. It's seriously the cutest set up and it's more her age than regular beds.
