While we like the look of the new set, the chair assembly (already completed when the set was delivered and setup) was poorly done. The chairs legs were not level, and a couple had multiple washers under the sliders to try to compensate. The screws holding the cross bars on the legs were not tightened fully, and in one piece the screw was missing (the chair leg also shows damaged where a screw was attempted but came out the chair leg). This is all likely to someone assembling them with power drill, and no one setting on the chair before all the screws were tightened to level it up.
I loved it while I had it, it was way too big for my kitchen so I traded it in on a smaller set.
