Sanibel Swivel Chair

The chenille fabric used on this chair is a pet-friendly option due to its tight weave and durable polyester fibers. Unlike loose-knit fabrics, this material is more resistant to snagging from claws. Additionally, polyester is known for its ability to hold color and resist fading, which is beneficial if the chair is placed in a sunny spot near a window. For pet hair, a simple lint roller or a quick vacuum session is usually all that is required for upkeep.

This chair features a sturdy wooden base that provides a stable foundation for the swivel mechanism. The wood is finished in a warm tone that complements coastal and cottage-style decors. This solid construction ensures long-term structural integrity and a smooth, quiet rotation during use.

With a compact footprint of 32.5 inches in width and depth, this chair is an excellent choice for smaller living spaces or urban apartments. Its curved back and streamlined silhouette allow it to provide full-scale comfort without overwhelming a room. The swivel functionality is particularly valuable in tight quarters, as it allows the chair to serve multiple purposes—such as pivoting from a TV viewing angle to a social seating arrangement—without needing to move the furniture.

This chair is upholstered in a high-performance blend of 92% polyester and 8% linen. The high polyester content provides exceptional durability and resistance to stretching and wrinkling, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. The addition of linen introduces a natural, breathable texture that enhances the coastal and cottage aesthetic. To maintain the "fuzzy" chenille texture, we recommend regular vacuuming with a soft upholstery attachment to remove dust and prevent matting.

In open-concept homes, a swivel chair acts as a functional bridge between different zones. Whether you want to face the kitchen for a conversation with the cook or turn toward the window to enjoy a coastal view, the smooth rotation keeps you connected to your surroundings. This design is especially popular in "great rooms" where the layout needs to be flexible for both entertaining and relaxation.

While the wooden base is designed for stability, we recommend placing an area rug or a low-profile furniture pad underneath the chair if it is being used on hardwood, laminate, or tile surfaces. This not only anchors the chair within your room's design but also provides an extra layer of protection against potential scuffs or scratches during frequent rotation.
