Sunside Way Sand 82 in. Console

This console features a versatile storage layout including four doors with carved radial motifs that conceal two spacious shelves. It also includes center storage cubbies specifically designed to house gaming consoles, cable boxes, or soundbars. This combination of open and closed storage allows you to display frequently used tech while hiding smaller accessories behind flat-panel doors.

Based on our furniture care expertise, we recommend dusting the unit regularly with a soft, dry cloth to protect the poplar wood and metallic hardware. For deeper cleaning, use a cloth lightly dampened with mild soap and water, ensuring the surface is dried immediately. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive polishes, which can degrade the protective sand finish over time.

Standing at 36 inches tall, this console is significantly higher than standard media stands. This "stately" height is particularly advantageous for larger living rooms or master bedrooms. It elevates the television to a comfortable eye level when viewed from higher seating or from a bed, while also providing a more commanding presence in rooms with high ceilings.

This contemporary piece is crafted using solid poplar for both the frame and the base. Poplar is a durable hardwood prized in high-quality furniture for its strength and fine grain. Unlike units made primarily of MDF or particleboard, a solid wood frame offers superior structural integrity and longevity, ensuring the unit remains sturdy even when supporting heavy media equipment.

The solid poplar construction and light sand finish are excellent choices for coastal or high-humidity climates. Poplar is naturally resilient, and the light wood finish family is ideal for maintaining a bright, breezy aesthetic. Additionally, lighter finishes are more forgiving than dark lacquers in sun-drenched rooms, as they don't show dust or minor surface wear as prominently.

With a width of nearly 82 inches, this console is an ideal foundation for large-screen televisions, including 75-inch and many 85-inch models. For the most balanced aesthetic, we recommend choosing a console that extends at least a few inches beyond the edges of your TV screen to provide a stable and proportionate look for your living room.
