Disappointed — No Wall‑Hugger Feature and Not Disclosed
I purchased the Ergo ProSmart expecting a premium adjustable base, especially at this price point. The biggest disappointment is that it does NOT have wall‑hugger technology, which means the bed moves forward and away from the nightstand every time you raise the head. For a base this expensive, that’s a basic feature many lower‑priced brands include. What makes it worse is that nowhere on the Tempur‑Pedic website does it state that the ProSmart lacks wall‑hugger functionality. If anything, the marketing implies it’s their most advanced base, so I assumed it would include what has become a standard feature. To add to the frustration, the base is not returnable, so I’m stuck with a very costly product that doesn’t meet expectations. For the price, transparency and complete feature descriptions should be the minimum.
