Is a manual reclining mechanism a reliable choice for long-term use?
Yes, manual reclining mechanisms are highly regarded for their simplicity and longevity. Because they operate without electric motors or wiring, there are fewer components that may require maintenance over the years. Additionally, a manual sofa offers more flexibility in room placement, as it does not need to be positioned near a power outlet to function.
How much space is required to accommodate this reclining sofa in a living room?
This sofa has a width of 88.75 inches and a depth of 40.75 inches, making it a substantial piece for transitional or classic living areas. When measuring your space, it is important to account for the "recline footprint." Ensure you have several inches of clearance behind the sofa and enough open space in front for the footrests to extend fully without hitting a coffee table or other furniture.
What are the benefits of choosing a sofa with top grain leather?
Top grain leather is the highest quality part of the hide, utilized on this sofa's seating areas for its exceptional breathability and supple texture. Unlike bonded or faux leathers, top grain leather is significantly more durable and resistant to cracking or peeling over time. It naturally adapts to your body temperature, ensuring a comfortable seat that actually becomes softer and more inviting with use.
Can I pair a coffee table with a reclining sofa?
You can absolutely use a coffee table with a reclining sofa, provided you maintain proper spacing. We recommend placing your coffee table approximately 18 inches away from the front of the sofa. This distance typically allows enough room for the manual footrests to deploy comfortably while keeping your drinks and remotes within easy reach.
Is a leather sofa a good option for a household with pets and children?
Leather is one of the most practical upholstery choices for active homes. The top grain leather used here is naturally more resistant to spills and stains than fabric, and it does not trap pet hair or allergens within its fibers. For homes with pets, the tight grain is also less prone to snagging from claws, and most daily messes can be easily wiped away with a damp cloth.
What is the recommended maintenance for keeping this leather upholstery in top condition?
Based on our expertise with high-quality materials, we recommend conditioning the leather every 6 to 12 months. This process replenishes the natural oils in the hide, preventing it from drying out or cracking, especially in homes with central heating or direct sunlight. For routine cleaning, simply use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent to maintain the gray finish's luster.

I love it
Classy and cozy
The sofa is great, very comfortable . I do wish the center seat also reclined.
Poor decision on my part.
I purchased this reclining sofa without the power. Big mistake. For the first 2 weeks I was easily able to close the recliner. Not now. I thought I was saving four hundred dollars by not getting the power. Would gladly return for the power one if I could. Now, when I open the recliner it squeaks and closing it takes all the leg power I can muster.
