Anaia White 5' x 7'6 Rug

Hooked construction is an artisanal technique where loops of wool are pulled through a primary backing. This creates a distinct, pebbled texture that is soft underfoot and provides a cozy, handmade feel. This specific collection uses that traditional hook construction to create a fresh, asymmetrical floral design, resulting in a rug that feels substantial and premium rather than flat.

Wool is a breathable, "active" fiber that can naturally manage small amounts of moisture, making it comfortable in various climates. However, in very humid environments, it is important to ensure proper air circulation in the room. We recommend using a high-quality rug pad underneath to allow the rug to breathe from both sides and occasionally rotating the rug to ensure even exposure and wear.

This "Goldilocks" size is exceptionally versatile. It is an ideal fit for smaller urban living rooms, where it can comfortably anchor a sofa and coffee table without overwhelming the floor space. It also works perfectly in a bedroom, placed horizontally under the lower two-thirds of a queen-sized bed to provide a soft, warm landing for your feet in the morning.

While the primary color is white, the bold, multi-colored floral pattern is strategically designed to help mask minor wear and everyday debris better than a solid light-colored rug. Wool is also naturally flame-retardant and non-allergenic, making it a safer choice for families. However, for homes with pets, we recommend keeping claws trimmed to prevent any snagging of the hooked wool loops.

Yes, wool is widely considered the gold standard for durability in home flooring. This rug is hooked from 100% natural wool, a fiber known for its inherent resilience and "bounce-back" ability. Unlike synthetic fibers that can mat down over time, the natural thick pile of this wool rug is designed to withstand heavy foot traffic while maintaining its shape and texture for years.

Because this rug features a natural thick pile hooked by artisans, some initial shedding is a normal characteristic of the high-quality wool fibers. To maintain its appearance, we recommend regular vacuuming with a suction-only setting or a vacuum where the beater bar is set to the highest height. For spills, wool’s natural lanolin coating provides a brief window of stain resistance, allowing you to blot messes quickly before they set.
