Avae Dark Gray 3'6 x 5'6 Rug

For a hand-tufted wool rug, we recommend regular vacuuming using a suction-only setting or a vacuum with the beater bar set to the highest height to prevent fiber agitation. It is normal for new wool rugs to experience some shedding, which is a sign of the natural fibers and will subside over time with consistent care. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry white cloth; never scrub, as this can damage the wool's natural structure.

Yes, this rug is specifically engineered for longevity in active households. Hand-tufted from premium wool and secured with a durable cotton backing, it provides the structural integrity needed for high-traffic zones. The 0.75-inch pile height offers a substantial, comfortable feel underfoot while being dense enough to withstand the daily rigors of a busy home environment.

Wool is a premium, natural fiber prized for its exceptional durability and inherent resilience. Unlike many synthetic materials, wool fibers have a natural "crimp" that allows them to bounce back after being compressed by footsteps or furniture, preventing the rug from looking flat over time. Additionally, wool contains natural oils that make it inherently resistant to dirt and liquid spills, providing a healthier and more sustainable option for your living space.

This rug is eligible for free shipping, providing a convenient and cost-effective way to upgrade your home decor. It is typically shipped via standard ground delivery, packaged securely to ensure it arrives in pristine condition. Once it arrives, we recommend unrolling it and allowing it to sit for 24 to 48 hours to let any minor shipping creases flatten out naturally.

This rug features a sophisticated cut and loop construction, which combines sheared fibers (cut) with uncut loops to create a multi-level, high-low texture. This design does more than just add visual depth and a modern geometric pattern; the varied pile heights are excellent for masking footprints and tracking, making it a practical choice for maintaining a clean appearance between vacuuming sessions.

This versatile 3'6" x 5'6" size is an ideal choice for defined spaces where a standard area rug might be too large. It is particularly well-suited for entryways or foyers to create a welcoming first impression, as well as in smaller urban apartments or studio vignettes. Its dimensions also make it a sophisticated addition to a walk-in closet or as a plush accent beneath a desk in a home office.
