Bordfell Rust 8'6 x 11'6 Rug

Measuring 102 inches wide by 138 inches long, an 8'6" x 11'6" rug is an estate-size floor covering designed for spacious living rooms, large open-concept layouts, and formal dining rooms. In a living room, this generous scale allows you to place the front legs—or all four legs—of large sofas, sectionals, and accent chairs directly on the rug to unify the conversation area. In a dining room, it comfortably accommodates a standard 6- to 8-person dining table with enough border for chairs to slide out without catching on the edges.

Synthetic fibers like polyester perform exceptionally well in humid environments. Unlike natural plant fibers such as jute or sisal, which readily absorb ambient atmospheric moisture and can become vulnerable to mildew or fiber weakening, polyester is hydrophobic. It resists moisture absorption, dries quickly, and helps maintain a fresher indoor environment in warm or coastal regions.

This area rug features saturated jewel tones with a combination of traditional, abstract, and floral motifs. Its warm rust palette serves as a striking focal point for boho, traditional, or maximalist aesthetics. To style the room, pair it with neutral leather or linen upholstery to let the intricate pattern stand out, or pull secondary jewel tones from the rug into accent pillows, curtains, and wall art for a curated, layered look.

A 0.5-inch pile height offers a balanced, low-to-medium profile that provides soft underfoot cushioning while remaining exceptionally practical for everyday use. Unlike deep shag carpets, this height prevents dirt and crumbs from sinking deep into the weave, allows standard vacuum cleaners to glide smoothly, and offers ample clearance under moving doors and heavy furniture legs.

Yes. Power-loomed polyester is one of the most practical choices for busy, active households. The synthetic fibers are non-porous and naturally resistant to moisture, snags, and water-based stains, making daily spot-cleaning and pet hair removal simple. Additionally, the tight machine-woven construction ensures the rug maintains its structure and resists shedding under frequent foot traffic.
