Lachlans Black Side Chair, Set of 2

As noted in the product specifications, customer assembly is required for this set of two chairs. This typically involves securing the metal leg frame to the upholstered seat using the provided hardware. We recommend a two-person assembly for the most efficient setup, ensuring all components are aligned and tightened for maximum long-term stability.

This chair is designed with a standard dining profile, measuring 23"W x 25"D x 32.5"H. The seat height is 19.25", which is strategically engineered to pair with most standard 30-inch dining tables. This height ensures approximately 10 to 11 inches of legroom between the seat and the tabletop, meeting the industry standard for ergonomic dining comfort.

To maintain the "leather-look" finish, we recommend regular dusting with a soft, dry cloth. For food spills or minor stains, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap is usually sufficient. Because this material is durable and moisture-resistant, it does not require the expensive conditioners or specialized treatments that genuine leather demands, making it a low-maintenance yet high-style seating solution.

Comfort is a primary feature of this design. Unlike minimalist modern chairs that lack support, these chairs feature high-density cushioned foam seats combined with tufted, padded backs and sides. This integrated padding provides a supportive "wrap-around" feel that remains comfortable for hours, making them ideal for both casual family dining and upscale hosting.

These chairs are particularly well-suited for smaller footprints and open-concept living. At 23 inches wide, they offer a generous seating surface without the added bulk of wide armrests. The 32.5-inch total height provides a lower profile that maintains sightlines across a room, preventing a compact dining area from feeling cluttered. The "retro-modern" aesthetic—combining tufted upholstery with slim metal legs—is a popular choice for urban dwellers looking to maximize style in limited space.

Yes, these chairs are an excellent choice for active households. The sleek, leather-look upholstery is a non-porous material, making it significantly more resistant to spills and stains than traditional woven fabrics. Based on our material expertise, this "wipe-clean" surface allows for quick maintenance after family meals. Additionally, the chic black metal legs offer a robust foundation that is more resistant to the scuffs and scratches often seen on wooden chair legs.
