Question 1

What are the exact dimensions of this California King mattress, and who is it best suited for?

Accepted Answer

This mattress measures 72 inches wide by 83 inches deep with a 17-inch height profile. Compared to a standard King (typically 76 inches wide by 80 inches long), a California King trades 4 inches of width for extra length. This makes it an ideal fit for taller individuals—particularly sleepers 6'2" and over—who need additional legroom to sleep comfortably without their feet hanging off the edge, as well as for elongated master bedrooms that benefit from a slightly narrower footprint.

Question 2

What structural features prevent this mattress from sagging and maintain edge stability?

Accepted Answer

Edge-to-edge durability is anchored by PrecisionEdge, a reinforced perimeter border that allows you to sit or sleep near the edges without roll-off or perimeter collapse. Additionally, the mattress features artisan hand-tufting, a traditional craftsmanship method that securely stitches internal coil and foam layers together from top to bottom, preventing the internal materials from shifting or sagging over time.

Question 3

What type of bedding and room layout work best for this 17-inch high mattress?

Accepted Answer

Due to its substantial 17-inch profile, this mattress requires deep-pocket or extra-deep-pocket California King fitted sheets designed to fit mattresses up to 18 to 20 inches thick. For room planning, a bedroom measuring at least 12 feet by 12 feet is recommended to comfortably accommodate the 83-inch depth alongside standard bedroom furnishings such as nightstands, dressers, and bed frames.

Question 4

How does this innerspring mattress help regulate temperature for hot sleepers?

Accepted Answer

This mattress uses a multi-layered thermal management system. The exterior features a TrioTemp Cooling Cover that combines breathable TENCEL fibers, cool-to-the-touch yarns, and heat-diffusing materials to pull warmth away from the body upon contact. In addition, built-in external air vents facilitate continuous airflow through the inner coil structure, releasing trapped heat throughout the night.

Question 5

Does a firm Euro pillow top provide adequate pressure relief while maintaining back support?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This mattress combines targeted deep-down support with plush surface conformance. Structural support is driven by IntelliCoil HD Innersprings—featuring 20% more coils than standard IntelliCoil systems—paired with a MicroTouch Support Layer of miniature coils that adapt to spinal alignment. For surface pressure relief, the Euro pillow top is layered with TEMPUR-Indulge Memory Foam, which contours to your body's curves to cushion hips and shoulders without sacrificing a supportive, firm feel.
