Stearns & Foster Reserve Firm Euro Pillow Top II King Mattress with Head Up Only Base

The set includes an RTG Sleep 2900 adjustable base equipped with a wireless remote control for head-up articulation. This allows you to elevate the head section of the bed to customize your angle for reading, watching television, or alleviating issues like snoring and acid reflux. Because this is a unified king setup, the base raises and lowers the entire 76-inch by 79-inch mattress surface as a single unit.

This mattress utilizes a multi-stage thermal regulation design. The surface features a TrioTemp Cooling Cover woven with moisture-wicking TENCEL fibers, cool-to-the-touch yarns, and heat-diffusing materials to draw heat away from the body upon contact. In addition, built-in external air vents promote continuous airflow through the internal coil and foam layers, allowing trapped body heat to vent out freely rather than accumulating in the mattress core.

This standard king set moves as a single piece, making it the ideal choice for couples who prioritize an unbroken, continuous mattress surface for shared sleeping and cuddling without a center seam. If you and your partner have significantly different sleep schedules or elevation preferences—such as one partner needing head elevation while the other sleeps flat—the split king variation (consisting of two independent sleep surfaces) provides separate, individualized head-up controls.

The mattress is engineered with a PrecisionEdge border system, a reinforced high-density edge perimeter that delivers firm, stable support all the way to the rim. This reinforced edge prevents rolling off while sleeping, expands the usable sleep surface across the full 76-inch width, and provides a rigid, supportive ledge that makes sitting and getting in and out of bed effortless.

Because the mattress has an ultra-plush 17-inch profile height, you will need deep-pocket or extra-deep-pocket king sheets designed to fit mattresses up to 18 to 20 inches deep. When combined with the 15-inch adjustable base, the total sleep surface sits approximately 32 inches high. Look for fitted sheets with heavy-duty elastic perimeter bands to ensure the corners stay securely anchored during head elevation.

The mattress combines advanced spring engineering with contouring foam. It features an IntelliCoil HD innerspring system containing 20% more coils than standard IntelliCoil designs for precise, adaptive spinal alignment. This is paired with a MicroTouch Support Layer composed of miniature coils for resilient shape retention, alongside a comfort layer of TEMPUR-Indulge Memory Foam that relieves pressure points at the shoulders and hips. The entire build is stabilized with hand-tufting for lasting structural durability.
