Question 1

How do I clean and maintain the surface of the mattress?

Accepted Answer

Maintaining a hygienic sleep surface is simple with this model. It is equipped with a removable, machine-washable SmartClimate cover. We recommend regular laundering of the cover to remove allergens and dust. For the mattress itself, our expertise suggests that the high-density materials do not require flipping; however, ensuring the cover is kept clean will significantly extend the life and "like-new" feel of the Advanced Relief Material.

Question 2

What are the benefits of the hybrid construction compared to a standard foam mattress?

Accepted Answer

This hybrid mattress offers a sophisticated balance of tradition and innovation. By combining premium innersprings with proprietary TEMPUR-Material, it provides the responsive support and edge stability of a coil mattress alongside the deep pressure relief Tempur-Pedic is known for. This combination is particularly beneficial for those who want the adaptive feel of memory foam but prefer the "easy-to-move" sensation provided by an underlying spring system.

Question 3

How does the split king design benefit couples with different sleep preferences?

Accepted Answer

A split king setup is the ultimate solution for partners with varying comfort needs. Because this pair consists of two independent Twin XL mattresses, each side can be paired with its own adjustable base. This allows one partner to sleep elevated—ideal for reading or managing health conditions—while the other remains flat, all without disrupting the other's sleep or compromising the mattress's structural integrity.

Question 4

Will I feel the "gap" in the middle of this split king mattress?

Accepted Answer

While there is a physical separation between the two mattresses, the Advanced Relief Material used in this model is engineered to contour precisely to your body, which helps minimize the "ledge" feel at the edges. For a more seamless surface, we recommend using high-quality Twin XL fitted sheets on each side covered by a single King-size top sheet and comforter, which maintains the individual functionality while providing a unified look and feel.

Question 5

What kind of foundation or base is required for this mattress?

Accepted Answer

To maintain the specialized support system and validate the warranty, this mattress requires a solid, non-spring foundation or an adjustable base. Traditional box springs are not recommended as they do not provide the rigid, level surface necessary for high-density TEMPUR-Material. For this split king pair, you will need two Twin XL foundations or two Twin XL adjustable bases placed side-by-side.

Question 6

Is this mattress suitable for hot sleepers or those living in warm, humid climates?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this model is specifically designed for temperature regulation. It features a SmartClimate cover woven with heat-absorbing fibers that are cool to the touch, drawing heat away from the body instantly. Furthermore, the specialized ventilated TEMPUR-Material promotes significantly more airflow and breathability than traditional foams, making it an excellent choice for maintaining a cool sleep environment in humid or southern climates.

Question 7

How can this mattress setup help with sleep-related health issues like snoring or acid reflux?

Accepted Answer

When paired with an adjustable base, the split king configuration is highly effective for managing snoring or acid reflux. Elevating the head of the mattress can help open airways and use gravity to prevent stomach acid from rising. Because this is a split setup, the sleeper experiencing these issues can adjust their side to the necessary incline without forcing their partner to sleep in an elevated position.
