Q&A answers generated with AI assistance.
What are the benefits of choosing a high profile foundation over a low profile one?
At 9 inches in height, this high profile foundation is designed for those who prefer a traditional bed height or want to add significant elevation to their sleep setup. This extra height can make it easier to get in and out of bed and allows the aesthetic of your headboard and bedding to stand out more prominently in the room.
Can I use two of these Twin XL foundations to create a King-sized bed base?
Yes. A common professional recommendation for "Split King" setups is to use two Twin XL foundations side-by-side. Since each foundation measures 38"W x 80"L, placing two together creates a total footprint of 76"W x 80"L, which perfectly matches the dimensions of a standard King mattress while allowing for easier transport through narrow hallways or doorways.
How does the upholstery on this foundation contribute to the bedroom's look?
This foundation features a black upholstered finish with a subtle floral pattern, allowing it to serve as a decorative element rather than just a functional one. The upholstered sides provide a tailored, finished look that coordinates seamlessly with Therapedic mattress aesthetics, often eliminating the immediate need for a bed skirt.
Is this foundation compatible with memory foam or hybrid mattresses?
Absolutely. Memory foam and hybrid mattresses require a rigid, non-flexing surface to prevent the foam from dipping or losing its supportive properties. This flat foundation is engineered to provide the consistent support these modern mattress technologies need to perform at their best.
What is the primary purpose of using a foundation like this one with my mattress?
A foundation provides a stable, flat surface that is essential for maintaining the structural integrity of your mattress. Unlike a traditional box spring, which has "give," this solid foundation ensures your mattress doesn't warp or sag over time. Using a proper foundation is also often a requirement to maintain your mattress's warranty protection.
Is a Twin XL foundation the correct size for a standard college dorm bed?
Most modern college dormitories utilize "Twin Extra Long" (Twin XL) mattresses, which are 80 inches long to accommodate taller students. This foundation's 80-inch length is the standard match for those mattresses. Before purchasing for a dorm, we recommend verifying if your specific residence hall frame requires a separate foundation or if it uses a built-in slatted system.

This is a great new product. I have been using Tempur-pedic products for many years and was so glad to get a new bill. It has really lived up to its name. It’s super comfortable. I made a great purchase.

Quality, comfort, and Fit

I tried several brands and fitted sheet holding devices, nothing worked on the adjustable base. The fitted sheet constantly came loose. I am completely surprised and satisfied with the tempurpedic sheet set. No matter how much I manipulate the mattress, the fitted sheet stays on!! Well done TempurPedic!!!

Such a nice pillow, but the smell!

I so want to love this pillow! Great size, thickness, feels great underneath my head. But there is an odor that you can't ignore. It must be from the foam, or the blue cooling layer on the top side. I ended up treating it generously with baking soda and leaving it out in the open air for three days. Very cumbersome and for a $200+ pillow, I expect better. The smell is gone now, but I cannot recommend the pillow.
