Vawix Gray/Gold 5'6 x 7'5 Rug

To preserve the dimensional, layered cut pile and the shimmer of the silk-like fibers, our care guide recommends vacuuming regularly using a suction-only setting. It is critical to avoid using a vacuum with a beater bar, as the aggressive rotating brush can snag the hand-tufted fibers and cause the wool to fuzz or pull over time.

Absolutely. The contemporary abstract pattern and sophisticated gray and gold tones are designed to serve as a charismatic focal point in modern decor. For apartment dwellers, this wool rug provides the added benefit of superior noise reduction. The dense, hand-tufted wool naturally dampens sound, making it ideal for creating a quiet, cozy sanctuary in a busy city environment.

Wool is actually an ideal fiber for varying climates due to its "hygroscopic" properties. It can naturally absorb and release moisture from the air, helping to regulate indoor humidity levels without feeling damp. Unlike many synthetic materials, wool's complex fiber structure is also naturally resistant to the growth of mold and mildew, provided it is kept in a well-ventilated space.

This 5'6" x 7'5" rug is a versatile "room size" accent. In a contemporary living room, we recommend placing at least the front legs of your seating on the rug to visually anchor the space. In a bedroom, this scale works beautifully when placed horizontally under the bottom two-thirds of a queen bed or as a luxurious, soft landing at the foot of the bed frame.

Yes, wool is one of the most resilient natural fibers available for home decor. This rug is expertly hand-tufted from high-quality wool, which possesses a natural elasticity that allows the fibers to bounce back even after significant compression from footsteps or furniture. Its inherent durability and stain-repelling oils make it an excellent long-term investment for busy areas of the home.

Shedding is a natural characteristic of premium wool rugs and is actually a sign of the material's authenticity. This occurs when small, excess fibers work their way out of the weave during the initial months of use. Regular vacuuming with a suction-only attachment will effectively manage this process until the rug fully settles.
