If I could give RTG no stars I would. We went to the Altamonte Store and purchased a couch and a recliner in August. While there we found a kids bunk beds with stairs instead of and attached ladder. Having 5 year old twin granddaughters that were still in toddler beds, we decided to go ahead and purchase. Our salesman was new and nobody was there to help him and it turned out a week later that they overcharged us double for the couch and recliner. ( He was a nice young guy so I do feel bad for him and I was undergoing Chemo infusions so my brain was not there, and my husband was loading the vehicle with other things we purchased so we do take the blame for not catching the overcharge) They never caught it but we finally did and called them at the 800 number and ask for a refund and they said somebody would call us back (BUT THEY NEVER DID) after calling repeatedly after a month or so we received our refund. Should have never taken that long. We were told that the girls furniture would not be delivered until NOVEMBER. Bought from RTG for years and years but understand today's issues and delays. But I finally went in and found a way to update a delivery date and it was changed to today. The drivers come and unload everything and they noticed that the stairs had a gash in the bottom of the last stair which made it uneven and took the appropriate action of photos and filling out a report etc.... then they told my husband to call the store immediately and they will add me to Tuesday's deliveries and they will straighten it out. He called and got the run around, even though whoever took the call said they would forward the information and someone will call back however, it will have to be THURSDAY OR LATER for a redeliver???? Where are two 5 year olds supposed to sleep? That wasn't her problem(even though as a CSR you would think she could be kind) NOBODY HAS CALLED BACK - THATS THE NORM FOR THEM - SO BE CAUTIOUS OF WHAT YOU BUY WHAT YOU SIGN AND HOW YOU EXPECT TO HANDLE PEOPLE LIKE THAT. We will never buy from them again. The quality was never great to begin with but we were aware of that and didn't expect anything else from them. We went in to speak to our salesman and he wasn't there but spoke to a couple other salesman that laughed when we told them the story. They did apologize but did say you have to watch everything here and there is no help and everything is subcontracted out and the left doesn't know what the right is doing. The quality of the merchandise has went down compared to years ago and one of them smiled at me and said he would not buy from here even though he worked here. We had three deliveries and ALL DRIVERS AND HELPERS were AMAZING. They were nice, helpful, professional, friendly and I actually responded that I would like the same guys as I got the last time. They normally call you and talk to you about the delivery once completed (FUNNY THEY DIDN'T CALL TODAY AFTER THEIR ATTEMPTED DELIVERY FAILED) and I understand from one of the ladies that I spoke with the very first time that they get a cut of what they deliver and if they don't follow policy or help an elderly person move a couch to get a new one in their pay is deducted. I hope they do not deduct ANY MONIES from these guys as it was broke coming off the truck. Unfortunately RTG is the issue here and I'm still waiting on that PHONE CALL telling me my stairs are coming TUESDAY. RTG you may be that next big giant to tumble if you don't start taking care of your customers, sales people and subcontractors.
