4.5 out of 5 stars
Really disappointing experience from start to finish. Even buying the bed felt like pulling teeth. When we walked in, there was a group of salespeople standing at the front. We told them we were looking for a kids’ bed and were simply pointed toward the section. We waited about 20 minutes without anyone coming over to help us. Eventually, we flagged down a salesperson walking through the area. He told us he could help after he finished with another customer. We asked if he could send someone else over, waited some more, and eventually someone did come help us. That salesperson was nice enough, but it shouldn’t be this difficult when you’re literally standing in a store trying to give them your money. Then came delivery day. My daughter was extremely excited about getting her new bed, only for us to be told that the box was damaged and they couldn’t deliver it at all. No replacement, no rescheduling, and no real solution was offered. We were simply told we would need to call the store when it opened and talk to our original salesperson to figure out what happens next. I work in sales, and that part is especially frustrating to me. Problems happen. Products get damaged. What matters is how you take care of the customer when something goes wrong. Putting the responsibility back on the customer to call the store and track down their salesperson is not taking care of the problem. I have a Rooms To Go card, which is a big reason I chose to purchase the bed here in the first place. After how difficult it was just to buy the bed, followed by a failed delivery with no solution offered, I’m extremely disappointed. And more importantly, my daughter still doesn’t have the new bed she was so excited about.
