Q&A answers generated with AI assistance.
Does the headboard allow for charging electronics and managing cords?
Yes, the bookcase headboard is specifically designed for modern needs with integrated wire management. These cutouts allow your child to neatly thread charging cables for tablets, reading lamps, or alarm clocks behind the unit. This feature keeps the sleeping area organized and prevents tangled cords from cluttering the shelves.
How does the storage in this bed help with room organization?
Designed to maximize every square inch, this bed features a multi-functional storage side rail and a bookcase headboard. The side rail includes two doors and two drawers, providing a dedicated space for toys, extra linens, or clothing. The bookcase headboard offers multiple shelves for books and decorative items, effectively replacing the need for a separate nightstand or a bulky dresser in smaller rooms.
Do I need a box spring for this bed?
No, a traditional box spring is not required and is actually not recommended for this model. This bed requires a bunkie board (sold separately) to provide a slim, sturdy foundation for the mattress. Using a bunkie board instead of a box spring keeps the mattress at a lower profile, ensuring the bookcase shelves remain easily accessible and the overall aesthetic remains clean and modern.
Is the assembly difficult for this bed?
While this is a substantial piece of furniture with integrated storage components, it does not require customer assembly. At Rooms To Go, our professional delivery service typically handles the setup and installation, ensuring the storage rails and bookcase headboard are securely attached and level. This guarantees the structural integrity and safety of the bed from day one.
Is this twin bed made of real wood?
This bed is constructed with high-quality pine veneers over solid wood frames. Pine is a preferred material for children's furniture because of its natural strength and resilience. The warm chestnut finish is applied to highlight the wood’s natural grain, providing a classic, durable look that can withstand the daily activity of a growing child’s room.
Is this bed a good choice for a small bedroom or urban apartment?
This bed is an exceptional solution for space-constrained environments, such as urban apartments or shared suburban bedrooms. Because it combines a sleeping surface, a bookshelf, and a dresser into a single footprint (87.25"w x 41.5"d), it frees up valuable floor space for play or study. Its low-profile design and integrated storage make it a "room-in-a-box" solution that helps a small space feel much larger.

Looks nice and is well built
Seems solid and well built and looks nice. No surprises in that it looks like the pictures online. I elected to have delivery with assembly. Well worth the extra charge. It did not take them long, but it seems a 2 person job. We had limited space to fit this in and time will tell whether access to the upper bunk is easy.
