Unfortunately we neededto return and replace a sofa under the protection plan. The process was facilitated by our salesperson and it went smoothly. Kudos to all

NOTE Update: They responded below to my review to show that they responded; however they are yet to respond to my email that I sent per their request. Message to Shoppers: Dear shoppers, if you know exactly what you want, please be aware that most salespeople on the floor have no more knowledge than you do. Their role is primarily to pressure you into making a purchase. On every sofa you sit on, mattress you lie on, a sales person may tell you that it is great Here’s my advice: Visit a few Rooms To Go locations to get a feel for the products. Some locations have slightly different displays. Then, order online from their website—no pressure. You can call their main number directly to request a price match or for any issues. If you buy in-store, the online team will redirect you back to the store for any issues. Don’t expect salespeople to secure you better deals—they won’t. My Experience with Rooms To Go My experience with Rooms To Go goes all the way back to 2010. Over the years, I have regretted purchases from this company several times, yet I often return because of the prices. Most recently, in 2024, I purchased a large sofa. Within a year, the powered sectional failed, but the warranty covered a replacement. I went back to reselect the order, and the salesman assured me that if the price dropped within 30 days, they would honor a price match. When the price did go down, I called the store. They told me I had to come in person since it was a reselection. On my first visit, the manager had already left for the day, so I was asked to return. On my second visit, the manager, supervisor, and salesman attempted to process the price match, but due to a database or printer issue, they couldn’t finalize it. I left after requesting that the $230 price difference be applied toward an extended warranty, with the remainder as store credit. They agreed. On my third visit, I was reassured that everything was in order. However, after the product was delivered, I called Rooms To Go’s main number and was told I had no warranty. On my fourth visit, the manager informed me there was neither a warranty nor a price match, and nothing could be done since the product had already been delivered. To make matters worse, during this visit the manager and salesman argued because a piece of the sofa had not been added at the time of purchase. Out of courtesy, I stepped aside to give them privacy, but I was irritated when the salesman returned and said the manager had asked why I was “still sitting in the store.” Over the years, I have spent close to $30,000 at Rooms To Go. The price match itself was minor, but being asked to drive to the store four separate times from Denton for such poor treatment was unacceptable. Failed Products Leather Sofa (Incorrect Delivery): I purchased a leather sofa, but they delivered the wrong one. After several phone calls, they allowed me to repurchase. That sofa was marketed as having “high-density foam” under the seat structure, but it caved in within a year. I eventually threw it away. Sofía Vergara Leather Sofa Set: This set was kept in my formal living room and rarely used. Despite minimal use, the material began peeling everywhere except the genuine leather sections. I still have it only because it was never used, but the quality is unacceptable. Large Sectional (2024): I purchased a large sectional based on ratings. Within a year, the seams began to stretch, and the metal headrest lost its cushion, leaving your head to hit the metal frame. When I went back for a reselection, they claimed the item was discontinued. Yet, when I visited the store, the same sectional was displayed under a different name.
