We had a great sales person and good experience with the staff at the room to go store, but our problem started at our 14 month point after purchase. We had bought an extended warranty through room to go store with the guardian company. We had bought a sectional with three power recliners as part of the sectional. During the 14th month ( 2 months after Room Store warranty expired) two of the recliners stopped working at the same time and the foot rest and back rest were out. We had to climb out of the recliners and I called room to go store and the guardian warranty provider company the following day. It took over a week for guardian to figure out that they needed somebody to come out and after 10 days they sent a room to go furniture repairman to come out and check the recliners. The room to go store representative came, but his truck was broken that day so he had no tools with him to be able to check anything. After a quick 5-10 minute look without ever taking the recliners apart from the sectional, he determined that new motors and power switches were needed for both recliners. He sent his recommendation back to guardian who then five days later approved that the rooms to go store could order our parts. It has now been six weeks and I have called room to go Customer Service twice and spoke to two very nice representatives and they assured me they were checking on the status of our parts and they would let me know something in a few days. But I have not heard any feedback from the rooms to go store customer service team. The second customer representative I talked with said it could take up to three months for the Parts to get in. This has been terrible Customer Service and the relationship between guardian and rooms to go store is pitiful. No follow up and no service once you’re out of the store so I warn you to be careful. We are done shopping at the room store. After posting the information above, Rooms To Go reached out to me and asked if they could check once again on the status of the parts. I provided the information necessary and they received information that the estimated timeline to receive the parts is projected as July 9, 2026, and when I receive the parts, I need to call RTG again to schedule the service. Can you imagine it is going to take five months for them to get the parts to fix one of their sectionals that they promote and sale. I am so disappointed with Rooms To Go and the service provided. They have lost my patronage and I encourage others to not shop there. Got a call from Rooms To Go today and they are offering to replace the defective recliners in the sectional because it is taking >90 days to correct. So relieved to hear this and I will update this post when we receive the replacements.

My experience at Rooms to Go was wonderful. Our sales person, Thomasin Moore, was excellent. She is knowledgeable about the product, patient, not at all pushy. Her congenial personality makes her a delightful person to deal with. Our purchase of a sofa was handled quickly and efficiently. Thanks!
