I typically don’t leave reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. I placed orders #42129513 and #42129514 online. During the process, a salesperson named Mohamed called me and advised me to switch items so everything would arrive at the same time. Based on his recommendation, I trusted the guidance and made the changes. Last week, I followed up to confirm delivery and was told those same items were not in stock and would be sourced from a vendor, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid from the start. Since the items had not even been scheduled for delivery, I requested they be canceled. I was then told only Mohamed could cancel them, which made no sense. After pushing for a resolution, I was later told the items were canceled and that a portion of my down payment would be refunded. That raised a concern for me, as the funds should have simply been applied to the balance, not partially refunded. I was then assured Synchrony would be notified and that I would receive confirmation. Now, over a week later: No cancellation has been processed Synchrony has no record of it No confirmation email was ever sent The items still have not shipped I have now had to follow up multiple times for something that should take minutes to resolve. I ultimately had to call the customer service division, who then contacted the store and spoke with Aaron. I was told he would handle it today, and a one hour timeline was placed on resolving the issue. To be clear, I still purchased a couch and a bed from this store, so this is not about avoiding business. It is about execution. If you are going to advise customers to change their orders, the follow through needs to match. At this stage, the issue is no longer the items, it is the lack of follow through. I am simply asking the company to do what should have been done the first time: cancel the items and handle it correctly.
